::: More Profiles :::

I can’t clearly remember my first day in AGISS. I was with my parents and I quite remember asking them ‘is this really AGISS? I was flabbergasted even at the time I got to the compound. I was directed to the assembly hall where I met my classmates from my previous school. It was there that I met three lovely girls: Enyonam, Esther and Angela. I joined them and we all shared some information about our previous schools.

We were then taking into our various classrooms. We ended up in Shakers II, the most interesting class amongst the whole lot. This class was so full of different personalities. Some people were funny, others were annoying. As time went on however, I realized my classmates were just fun to be with. They have in many ways, been of great help and counsel to me.

I was a girl who preferred to stick to herself; I didn’t like being around other people. I was just a shy girl. A2 really changed me. Now I can say confidently that I can communicate effectively with people and live with people of different personalities and temperaments.

I will forever remember Mystical, my very own sitting mate. Though we used to quarrel a lot, we were still the best sitting mates in the class. I am going to miss her. I will also never forget Gina for the filla she used to give the class during prep.  How can I forget the day Lawrencia lost her phone and how she turned our class into a shrine. I would also miss Berril, Danielle, Algebra, Gladys, Victoria Asante, Joyce, Juliet, Elfrida, Mateenah and also the Glitter Girls and the Fantastic 4. I will never forget the day Mrs. Kumi almost fell and how the whole class had a good laugh.

A2 girls, I love you all. Sweet memories from this class will never be forgotten. I hope to see every Shaker is a top ranking position in the near future. My prayer is that the Almighty would grant us our heart desires.

Rhoda Oklu-Aham, you were my dearest. You mean the world to me. You were my sister, adviser, friend and a source of inspiration to me. God bless you.

‘Shakers’ on my mind always!
