::: More Profiles :::

Dad: Can you please direct us the Accra Girls Senior High School. It looks we’re lost.

Stranger: Oh! Ma brother and daughter, you no loss. This (pointing) be AGISS. You no dey see the school wall?

Myself: (On the verge of tears) No! This must be a dream.

Dad: God bless you ma brother, abi you say make we g straight… VVRROOOMMM…..

I remember vividly entering this rather inspired environment, wallowing in the throes of bitter tears, looking all morose and spontaneously regretting writing the BECE. The thought of living in this hell hole for what apparently looked like eternity. These were bitter pills to swallow.

All too soon, I’m through gulping them down throat par la grace de Dreu. 2G7 to 11 hasn’t been easy. Being a part of Grannie Shakers which is by far the ‘geest’ class on campus is worth remembering.

Girls I just wonna tell y’all that you are the best amongst the rest. No two ways about that. Ei, so we dey walka dey go wonna various houses? Hmm! everything which has a beginning definitely has an end. I am definitely going to miss you all.

To Rita – finally am ears are going to be devoid of your ear-splitting gaffaw. Peggy, I must admit you’ve made an impact in my life. I thought I was all that. Coming to think of it, your pizza. Charley I go step La for more. Fantastic 4 and Zippy-Mens, thanks for breathing life into my rather impoverished arithmetic. Lol

Tripin’ the sage to perform Asem’s ‘End of the Night’ with Nana Ama remains one of my most nostalgic memories. I sincerely think the Glitter Girls should drop a hit soon. Maybe me and Jabo would also drop a single soon. Gina, will we ever stop feuding? Lawrencia, you’re my mama forever.

Mary QP, your amiable personality cannot be over emphasised. Enyonam, thanks for drawing me closer to Christ. Six and E-Dizzle (Deedy Dirty Money), don’t shorten your lifespan – party hard! Amanda Ansah, never lose your maternal instincts – you’re babysitting my kids in 8 years. Freda Nyame, hope you don’t bully me in Legon. Amanda Quartey, you gotta change your diction. Patience Ayum, 2nd December twins forever. Juliet my dandy cousin is still crazy about you. Maame Yaa, so drop us some Gucci wears on your next trip. Justina, don’t miss the Malaika Pageant. Ruth Awuku (roly-poly), take a slimming course. Kuks and Serwaa, when is your debut novel due?

No hard feelings if you didn’t get a shout out; you are still stuck on my heart like a tattoo. May God be with y’all till we meet one another somewhere, anywhere. He who puts his trust in Him will never be put to shame. It’s my prayer that as wheat ripens to harvest time all ye members of A2 will live to a ripe old age.

Love you all with every ounce of my being. Will not forget Akata Nite. Fresh boys in the building!!
