::: More Profiles :::

The sun kissed the sky gently as the breeze made me shiver. I sat in my father’s study room glancing at the text on the phone. I read it again to believe I wasn’t dreaming. Indeed, it read, ‘Kukua Bobson, Index No. 1020560001, AGISS, Mamobi’. Eh! Na me fa hen??

Let me tell you a story. I will be telling this same story to my grandchildren when they say ‘Nana, please tell us a story. My face will break into a grin and I’ll say, ‘it all began on the 10th of October,2007…..’. Little did I know, like Alice in Wonderland, I was set for an adventure of a life time.

Those times! I was so skinny you could use a micrometer screw gauge to measure me! I walked into A2 and met the craziest bunch of girls. Indeed our name, (Shakers) tells it all. We really shook the school! The class of mystery! Taking you back memory lane, there was Nino’s Nite, Form One’s Nite, Akata Night and all.

I’m going to miss you all even though I wasn’t close to everyone. Just remember that I was the girl in the back row who loved to write stories and get her freak on. Remember God has a reason for everything. It wasn’t a coincidence that you found yourself here – A2.

Sniff! Sniff! (back to reality). Grandchildren : ‘Nana why are you crying?’ I wipe my tears and smile and say ‘Aim High’ I won’t forget Joyce coming in to sell her sweaters, Amanda shouting ‘Easy boy’, Vic waiting for the class to be quiet to say ‘ Eh, Automatic class!’, Glorie ready to pass the most incredible statements, Peggy and Justina talking about Grey’s Anatomy, Abby ever ready to say ‘Kay let’s play truth or dare’ and Moda always gossiping with Yaa.

I can’t write everyone’s detail here but I am really gonna miss y’all. Be safe. Y’all be breezy!!! Finally, just wonna shout ‘I luv ya, Rita D!’.

Ps. You girls shouldn’t forget my birthday is 12th February, two days before Vals Day!. lol
